Wow, well it sounds like that lazy person knew instinctively how to create the perfect pile of crap that a tomato plant would adore! Let's see...dead grass (greens), branches (browns), and ashes (carbon?)...the makings of a compost pile, it seems. Good job!! I'll have to plant a tomato in a similar pile I've got developing then, and see how high my beanstalk grows (after added askes, that is). :)

Sure, I'll see about getting a picture of it.

I'm actually not feeding it much of anything... it's just growing volunteer out of a sort of "waste dump". It's nothing quite so intentional and organized as, say, a compost pile.

Just the spot that a certain lazy blogger would toss the branches and stuff he trimmed off trees or picked up after a storm so he could mow. This kind of killed off the grass a bit, so he then dumped barbecue ashes there and a few other things, but it was always supposed to be a temporary spot where I - er, I mean him - put stuff "to be cleaned up properly later on".

I see no smooshing, you've paragraphed quite well (especially for someone on drugs, man). When you recuperate, could you post a picture of that tomato beanstalk? You've got me very curious!!! What are you feeding that monstrosity?
